The journey of parenthood is a beautiful one, but it can also be challenging. At Ramsay Clinic Mitcham, we understand that new parents are especially vulnerable to mental health concerns. That's why we offer specialised care through our dedicated Perinatal Mental Health Team. Our care focusses on a wide range of challenges that expecting and new mothers might face, including: Perinatal Depression, Perinatal Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder in the Perinatal Period, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after birth, Pre and Postnatal Adjustment to Parenthood, Perinatal medication changes and Perinatal Mood Disorders.

Our Perinatal Mental Health Unit is available for postnatal stays, with your baby (aged up to 12 months) and for expectant mothers. The average stay is 2-3 weeks but this will depend on each individual case.
