Ready To Rise

Occupational Therapist

Ready to Rise provides trauma-informed, evidence-based perinatal mental health occupational therapy for adults across pregnancy, postpartum and early parenthood, as well as support for general mental health challenges. Services are delivered via flexible telehealth sessions (phone or video) to fit with the practical demands of this life stage and are available throughout Australia. Ready to Rise supports people experiencing perinatal anxiety and depression, birth trauma, adjustment to parenthood, perinatal loss and grief, attachment and bonding challenges, intrusive thoughts, identity or relationship changes, emotional regulation difficulties, and daily routine and coping stressors related to early parenting. Partners and non-birthing parents are welcome when helpful. Therapy is collaborative, person-centred and trauma-informed, addressing mental health, everyday functioning, routines, identity and relationships. Practical support includes guidance around sleep, feeding, self-care and sensory modulation for parents and babies, alongside emotional wellbeing work. NDIS participants with psychosocial disability are supported. The clinician is a registered mental health occupational therapist with specialised perinatal training and experience in public perinatal services, offering a warm, grounded space to unpack challenges and build coping strategies tailored to each person’s unique context.
