Kelsey Crosling - Kensington

Occupational Therapist

Motherhood doesn't always feel the way you expected it would. Alongside the joy can come anxiety, overwhelm, loneliness, grief, identity shifts or the lingering impact of a difficult pregnancy or birth. If you're feeling unlike yourself, you're not alone—and you don't have to navigate it on your own. I'm Kelsey Crosling, a Mental Health Occupational Therapist and founder of Ready to Rise. With more than ten years' experience across specialist perinatal mental health, Mother Baby Units, women's acute mental health, and community mental health, I support women through the emotional and practical challenges that can arise during pregnancy, postpartum and early parenthood. My approach is warm, collaborative and trauma informed. Together we'll work to understand what's getting in the way of living the life you want and develop practical strategies that support your mental health, confidence, daily routines, relationships and sense of self. Therapy is always tailored to your unique story, strengths and goals. I have a particular interest in supporting women experiencing birth trauma, perinatal anxiety and depression, adjustment to motherhood (matrescence), parental overwhelm, loss of identity, pregnancy and mothers who are navigating parenthood with limited support around them. Appointments are available in person in Melbourne and via telehealth across Australia, making it easier to access support that fits around the realities of family life. At Ready to Rise, my vision extends beyond individual therapy. Alongside one-to-one support, I'm creating opportunities for mothers to build genuine connection, reduce isolation and find the village that so many families need but struggle to find today. My hope is that every woman who walks through my door feels heard, understood and supported—not because she's expected to have all the answers, but because she deserves a space where she doesn't have to carry everything on her own.
