Antenatal and postnatal mental health fact sheets for women and their families

COPE has developed a series of mental health fact sheets – downloadable and printable information sheets and resources on antenatal and postnatal mental health for women and their families.

All information contained in these resources are underpinned by the National Perinatal Mental Health Guideline.  The National Guideline relies on the latest evidence to recommend the most effective ways to identify, diagnose and treat mental health conditions that women may develop in pregnancy and the postnatal period.

Antenatal mental health fact sheets

These fact sheets cover antenatal anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder during pregnancy.

Postnatal mental health fact sheets

These cover postnatal anxiety, postnatal depression, postpartum psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder in the postnatal period.

Ready to COPE Guide

New or expectant parents can also sign up to receive Ready to COPE, a free email series about mental and emotional health throughout pregnancy and the first year of motherhood.
